In 2022 Sabco became a member of APCO (Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation). By becoming a Member of APCO and therefore a Signatory to the Australian Packaging Covenant, Sabco agrees to shared commitments and joint responsibilities of working with Government and Industry to achieve sustainable packaging through material reduction, design, targeted recycling rates, reduced waste to landfill, alternative materials and circular economy activities. We are committed to continuously reflect upon and improve our business operations to reduce our environmental impact.
Part of this involves the implementation of the ARL (Australian Recycling Label) on consumer packaging to better inform consumers of correct method of disposal. We hope that these efforts result in increased recycling and recovery rates and help contribute to cleaner recycling streams.
